Bleed. La Flèche de la Sumène, proud of its chick. Mathéïs Gatignol, living in Sauliac (hamlet of Sarroux-Saint-Julien) started archery at the age of 6, as part of the TAP of the Sarroux school, led by Jean-Paul Breton. In the fall of 2019, he joined the new archery section of the ALC, trained by Jean-Paul Breton and which is part of the Flèche de la Sumène de Champagnac.

He gradually learned the technique of shooting with sight and clicker. In the fall of 2020, he took a competition license in chick (8 to 10 years old) recurve bow and started indoor and outdoor shooting competitions. His current record is as follows: indoor shooting competition in Champagnac in 2020, ranked first; indoor shooting competition in Malemort in 2021, ranked first; indoor shooting competition at Stade Aurillacois in 2022, ranked first; ASPTT Aurillac indoor shooting competition in 2022, Cantal departmental champion; indoor shooting competition in Riom in 2022, Auvergne Rhône-Alpes regional champion; outdoor shooting competition in Artonne in 2022, ranked second; outdoor shooting competition in Saignes in 2022, departmental champion; outdoor shooting competition in Tulle in 2022, ranked second; outdoor shooting competition in Sallanches in July 2022, regional vice-champion Auvergne Rhône-Alpes.

Mathéïs Gatignol is a born competitor. He understands the technique easily, trains with diligence and application but as soon as he is in competition, he surpasses himself. In the fall, he will join the youngest category (10 to 12 years old) and fight for the French championship.
