Judo-club: last lesson, graduations and many congratulations

CHALINDREY

The end-of-year party of the Judo-club of the commune and its section of Vaux-Sous-Aubigny took place on Sunday July 3 in the morning. All the judokas from the two places of practice were invited to meet on the tatamis of rue Hoche for a common lesson which began with a collective warm-up adapted to all the people present, from 4 years old to 70 years old.

Michel Pelletier then worked on a judo technique on the ground, then Damien Petitjean worked on standing judo. It was also the moment of the presentation of the new belts for the judokas which they were then able to celebrate by carrying out randoris (combats) on the ground and standing with the partners of the club. During this meeting, several people were put forward. First of all, Michel Pelletier, referent teacher and history of the club, who is retiring for the teaching of judo. He started this martial art in 1972, 50 years ago, at the Longeau club. He became 1st dan on May 25, 1979 and 2nd dan on June 28, 1981. He arrived in Chalindrey in 1986 to give judo lessons and took part in the Vaux-sous-Aubigny section in 1989. He obtained his State of teacher in 1992 as well as its 3rd dan on January 26 of this same year. In 1993, he received a letter of congratulation from the French judo federation for his involvement in the world of judo. He was awarded the Grand Council of Black Belts Bronze Medal in 2007, the Shin Trophy in 2011, the Teacher’s Gold Award in 2014, and the Grand Council of Black Belts Silver Medal in 2018.

The morning continued with the highlighting of young judokas who are involved in refereeing: Delphin Morel, who became regional sports commissioner, Léa Drouin and Margo Grosmaire, who became departmental sports commissioners and Maxime Barbier, who became departmental referee. To continue, Joséphine Bonnotte and Joeffrey Langlois were congratulated for their participation in the France Espoir cadet championship.

Finally, Thibaut Drouin was rewarded for obtaining the diploma of assistant club, just like his sister, Léa Drouin. Maxime Barbier and Delphin Morel have obtained the diploma of substitute animator. These certificates make it possible to get a foothold in teaching and to be able to accompany teachers during lessons.

It was a very nice closing party of the sports season which ended with a drink of friendship, a moment which also made it possible to thank all the volunteers who invest themselves on a daily basis for the proper functioning of the club.
