At 36, just retired from the prosecution, Johanne Gomis has decided to start a new adventure.
The former international, triple champion of France (2004, 2005 and 2017) winner of the Euroleague with Valenciennes in 2004 and the Eurocup in 2015 with Villeneuve d’Ascq is thus embarking on a new challenge and will bring all her experience and human qualities at the Lyon club, by being its Sports Director of the Training Center.
“With her expertise in women’s basketball with more than twenty years on professional courts, she will be our referent in terms of training. Johanne will be in charge of the development of the U18 Elite and Espoirs/NF1 teams, contacts with the professional team and the development of the Training Center with the capture of talents abroad. She will represent the club and women’s basketball for and within the Tony Parker Adéquat Academy,” the club wrote in a statement.
