calendar update

The transalpine country continues with great news. It is no coincidence that the great present that Italian tennis is experiencing is the result of all the work that goes into it. In addition to all the weeks they have in competition on the Challenger circuit, they add two new ATP tournaments at the end of 2022.

The first protagonist will be Florence (Indoor Hard Court) which will feature a championship to be held between the October 10 and 16, simultaneously with the Spanish city of Gijón. Then it will be the turn of Naples (Hard Court) and it is that it will also have a tournament, but it will be played in week 42 of the men’s circuit, that is, between the October 17 and 23. Italy continues to promote tournaments in its country and this does nothing but help all those young people who hope to bring great joy to the country in the coming years.

working a lot on the present

Italy has a great present but there are also great names for the future that are already becoming important on the Challenger circuit. These two tournaments will be a new opportunity for local players to prove their worth and manage to win points in the men’s classification.

Both tournaments will have a one-year license and it is due to the suspension for the third consecutive year of the Asian tour due to Covid. Italy continues to take advantage of its opportunities and in this way shows itself as one of the main powers within the men’s circuit.

«EIt is very reassuring to have so many cities that have offered to host ATP Tour tournaments this season.. This demonstrates the strong international interest in our product and lends credence to the approach we have taken to respond to these ever-changing circumstances. We would like to thank all parties involved in this process and look forward to an exciting second half of the season.”
