Islamic Solidarity Games: Ivory Coast will be in Konya

The 5th Islamic Solidarity Games will be held from 9 to 18 August in Konya, Turkey. A few days before the actual start of this Olympic game, the NOC-CIV has unveiled the list of Ivorian athletes who will be part of this Turkish expedition.

There are a total of ten athletes from 6 six sports disciplines. In athletics, we have Arthur Cissé Gué, Koné Maboundou and Djero Donatien Cyriaque. Taekwondo, which has the largest contingents with athletics, will have KONATÉ Ben, TRAORE Aminata Charlène ( +73 kg) and ANGAMAN Médéric.

SORO Minata, the champion of Côte d’Ivoire in cycling, judoka DABONNE Zoulehia (-57 k), archer EYENI Franck and wrestler YOUIN Amy (-70 kg) will also defend the Ivorian colors in Konya.

The track cycling events will take place from August 5 to 8, while the road events are scheduled for August 12 and 14. The athletics debates will be held from August 8 to 12. when the wrestling will be under the lights between August 10 and 13. Judo and archery will be in attraction respectively from August 15 to 17 and from August 14 to 18.

Jeannot Kouadio, Head of Mission and Tadjou Attada, national taekwondo coach will act as technicians when Honoré Zolobé, the Secretary General of the CNO-CIV will go as an official. It is therefore a strong Ivorian delegation of 13 members who will fly next August 8th.
