Induction into the David Ortiz Hall of Fame is celebrated at the Cooperstown Dominican Latin Fest

THE NEW JOURNAL, COOPERSTOWN, NY. – Finally the great day has come! This Sunday the exaltation of former Major League player David Ortiz took place, becoming the fourth Dominican to be taken to the hall of fame becoming an immortal in baseball worldwide.

The celebration of the “Cooperstown Dominican Latin Fest” took place at the Brewery of the Ommegang brewery, an open-air space in the city of Cooperstown, in New York, starting around 8:00 p.m. at night with the Conduction of Michael Miguel Holguín, Francisca, Jhoel López, Tony Dandrades and Enrique Rojas, who were in charge of the animation of the event.

It also had an artistic billboard of Dominican artists of the stature of merengueros Fernando Villalona and Sergio Vargas, as well as the presence of Alex Rodríguez who took the stage.

The salsero Yiyo Sarante, the urban exponent El Alfa and the mixer Dj Adoni, could not immediately go on stage because a great storm surprised those present, and the event had to be suspended.

The President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, sent a video message that was projected on a large screen to all those present, where he greeted and congratulated this exaltation to a man passionate about baseball.

The exalted David Ortiz, with a face full of happiness, thanked all those present, while motivating everyone to continue enjoying this achievement that has been of all Dominicans.

“Cooperstown Dominican Latin Fest” was a party open to the public, because as a humble man from the town that he is, David Ortiz wanted to celebrate his election with his fans who have always supported him.
