It has become an unmissable summer event. Moreover, some do not hesitate to travel a few tens of kilometers to get there. Like this family living near Auffay.

On Wednesday July 27, 2022, she was one of the many people who were able to learn a sporting activity for free at the village you sport.

Installed on the Dieppe waterfront lawns (Seine-Maritime) since July 11, it will close this Friday 29. Ethan, 7, seized these last moments to discover baseball. And it is with great pride that he announces to his mother: “I managed to return the ball! »

Ethan and his big sister are faithful:

Every summer, I take them to the sports village two or three times. It allows you to spend beautiful days by the sea and introduce them to a sport.

A great showcase for clubs

This Wednesday for Ethan, it was therefore baseball, “but three years ago, it was football and he joined a club afterwards”, continues his mother.

Because it is the dual objective of this sports village: to allow young people to have fun while giving visibility to the clubs to attract new members at the start of the school year in September. This year, 32 associations were present.

And despite the two days of closure due to the heat wave, they welcomed many young people every afternoon alongside the organizers of the City’s sports department. All that remains is to hope that at the start of the school year, some of them will see their rank grow.
