In a Real Madrid jersey on the Champs-Elysées on the day of the final? 135 euro fine…

“Participation in a demonstration prohibited on the public highway”: this is the reason why two Real Madrid supporters, who were walking on the Champs-Elysées wearing their club’s colors on the day of the Champions League final, were fined a fine of 135 euros, report our colleagues from the Spanish daily AS.

On the side of the supporters concerned, contacted by ASdisbelief reigns: “A protest? With a 15-year-old boy and an older person over 70? We were just wearing our Real Madrid shirts on the day of the Champions League final!

However, as recalled The Team, the Paris Police Prefecture had established a security perimeter – including the Champs-Elysées – prohibiting people “vailing or behaving as supporters of Real Madrid and Liverpool clubs.”

The message obviously did not get through to everyone.

As a reminder, Real Madrid won the Champions League final by beating Liverpool 1-0 on Saturday May 28 at the Stade de France.
