”I’ve thought about playing with him, but I’m more enjoying being able to be away from him and make my own way,” Seth said.
Steffen has spent all 13 NBA seasons with the Golden State Warriors, while Seth has represented eight different teams in eight seasons. The two have yet to play together in the same unit.
“It is never possible to predict the future. I wouldn’t mind playing with him, but it’s definitely not my first choice. At least not at the moment. I prefer to play against him rather than with him. Trying to beat the best is cooler,” Seth continued.
Seth played with Stephen’s former teammate Kevin Durant last season. This cooperation is now in jeopardy because Durant could be traded. Considering Seth’s progress in the NBA so far, replacing him is not impossible either.
Seth started last season with the Philadelphia 76ers, but finished it in Brooklyn. In 64 matches, he averaged 15 points, 3.6 assists, 3.1 rebounds, 0.9 steals and 0.2 blocked shots.
Meanwhile, Steffen averaged 25.5 points, 6.3 assists, 5.2 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 0.4 blocks per game. She also managed to win her fourth title, as well as the first prize of the most valuable player of the final.
The combination of the two brothers in one team is unlikely, but not impossible either. Exchanges happen frequently in the league and such a possibility cannot be ruled out. Either way, both athletes focus on their own careers and at the given moment, the merger of the two is practically impossible.
