“I don’t expect a huge surprise but you never know”, slips Pogacar

Second overall, the Slovenian rider still wants to believe in his chances of victory after the 19th stage.

Tadej Pogacar (SLO / UAE, second overall at the end of the 19th stage of the Tour de France) : «It was still a fast step. A bit boring at first but then it got more fun. The finish was both tough and fast, so I pushed hard, doing my best. I suffered a puncture in the final, but with my teammates, who helped me to come back, it was fixed in no time.

For tomorrow’s time trial (Saturday), I know I’ve had a tiring Tour and it’s a difficult time trial. So I don’t know what I’ll be capable of, but I know I’ll give it my all. I reconnoitered the course twice. It is difficult. It will still be a fast course, with two small hills at the end. I don’t expect a huge surprise but you never know.»
