There is no doubt that the main and most historic agreement is the one between the two companies with the longest tradition. Varese (intended as Basketball) from Strength and Faith were rivals so strongly at the youth level, but the choices of louis scola and those of the club chaired by Tommaso Trombettathe intermediation of Toto Bulgheroni and the presence of so many “double exes” has led to a decisive alliance that also includes l’A.S. Campusa satellite company whose brand and FIP number become decisive.

The minibasketwhere Robur historically counts more presences, will start from one base of about 250 children to grow further (but the sum of last year is not necessarily equal to the start of September due to the presence of other companies: see below).

ACADEMY, DOUBLE MOVE BETWEEN VALCERESIO AND YOUNG EAGLES
After four years, not always easy, alongside Varese Basketball, the Academy founded by Gianfranco Ponti he had to find a new location and he did so following two paths. On a “major” level it has acquired the rights of Serie C Gold from Valceresio and he will channel into that experience the players who are “ready” for a senior tournament even if he will not forge alliances with the green-and-whites. There C will play in Malnate but it could then move to the new Arcisate plant.
Ponti’s company, which controls many cards starting from those of foreign players seen in red and white last season, intends propose a complete batch of youth teams from Under 13 to Under 19. The main gym will be that of the Cus Insubria in Bizzozero but the will is to find at least another space; meanwhile, the company has announced the arrival of a long-time technician like the Piedmontese Federico Danna.
The second “move” was to join, as far as the sector is concerned minibasketball, to an already consolidated reality or the Young Eagles directed by Vincenzo Crocetti which are based in Casciago. Last year with the “Eagles” they took the field 130 children, important number that the Academy wants to grow further; a second facility for this area should be the gym in via XXV Aprile.

PASSERA AND OAK, A NEW SOCIETY FOR “OLD HEARTS ROBUR”
Instead, two well-known faces of city basketball start from scratch, Martino Rovera and Marco Passera (the latter awaiting a placement between A2 and B for the last competitive season). Their “Varese Basket School” it presented itself with a rather crowded tournament at the Casbeno pitches and will have its headquarters at gym of the “Pellico” school of via Appiani.
The program includes a large group of minibasket between 5 and 12 years (eagles, squirrels, chicks and rookies) to support the younger teams of the youth scene, under 13 e under 14 who should play in Valle Olona. VBS is making itself known on social media, it already has presented the team of coaches (various names ex Robur) and has had good feedback in these first weeks of activity. For the moment, even for the young age of the players involved, he has no agreements with other clubs.
AT THE GATES OF VARESE
The presence of three large entities in the city, especially as regards the minibasket, is part of a historically rich context of reality in the sector. We stop today only at the gates of Varese: Malnate has a group of about 110 childrena number similar to that of Valceresio (the sale of the C Gold does not include agreements with the Academy: the “wolves” continue on their youth path). TO Gazzada there is an activity that involves about eighty young basketball players while if you move to Gavirate the minibasket reaches even 300 units. In our discourse, at least for now, we do not consider the other centers further away from the Garden City but in the province there are many who propose basic activities with relevant numbers, hoping that – in the long run – the movement will return to “produce” even the best players. level.
