Guillermo Varela, a former Manchester United player who now plays for Dynamo Moscow, seems ready to do anything to force his transfer to the Brazilian club Flamengo. Summoned by his coach to face the Torpedo club, the Uruguayan player simply fled the gathering of his team, because he does not appreciate being held against his will. He has since been untraceable and unreachable according to the Russian press, while Dynamo Moscow evokes “blackmail” on the part of the player.
According to Varela’s agent, his transfer could see the light of day on Monday. For his part, Slaviša Jokanović, the coach of the Russian club, believes that his player made a mistake and he still hopes to see him return.
