RivieraBanca Basket Rimini is pleased to announce – reads a note – that Simon Anumba, ala classe 1996 (193 cm per 102 kg)is a new red and white player.
Simon is already well known from the Rimini basketball scene since in the last three seasons, first with the shirt of Faenza and then with that of Cesenawas a worthy opponent of the red and white thanks to his disruptive physicality.
Born in Reggio Emilia, of Nigerian originsSimon grows up in youth sector of the Reggiana basketballbut also playing in the Regional Serie C with Correggio basketball.
Subsequently, from 2014 to 2017, Anumba attended the University of Salford where the basketball commitment continues in Manchester Magicmilitant formation in the second English league.
Back in Italy, Simon marries in Serie B a Battipagliawhere he becomes the protagonist with 13 points and 7 rebounds on average that make a strong contribution to the salvation achieved with the playout.
The 2018-2019 season is that ofdebut in Serie A1 with the Turin shirtwhere Simon joins the scoresheet in ten seasonal matches: with the Piedmontese he reaches the final of the Super Cup and the regular season of Eurocup, before returning permanently to Serie B between Faenza and Cesena.

“First of all I would like to try to bring my intensity, especially in defense where I really like to play; I also want to improve in all other aspects of my game. I’m someone who makes himself useful for teammates and who wants to bring all his desire to win here. “

“I think so, by the way I spoke to Coach Mattia Ferrari and he believes that I have great room for improvement. This season can be a turning point, I think I can prove that I am a valid player for Serie A2. “
