Friendly: Monaco concedes a draw against Inter Milan

AS Monaco’s pre-season is one of the most successful. Philippe Clement’s players chained their fifth match without defeat (2 wins, 3 draws) by conceding a parity score against Inter Milan on Saturday (2-2). The Monegasques had however started the match well against Lukaku and his teammates.

Served by Wissam Ben Yedder, Alexandre Golovine opened the scoring in the 7th minute of play. The French international (31 years old, 19 caps) turned into a scorer 23 minutes later, thanks to a pass from the Russian. Maximum efficiency for Monaco who scored on their only two shots on target in the first period. But the gap narrowed before the break (Gagliardini, 42nd).

First for Minamino

Dominating in the second half (62% possession), the Rock club was nevertheless surprised at the hour mark (Asllani) and failed to regain the advantage. It should be noted that, during this meeting, the Japanese international Takumi Minamino made his first appearance in Monegasque colors (he played the entire second period).

Monaco will complete their preparation in Porto on July 23, then in Southampton on July 27, before playing their third qualifying round for the Champions League. The club will discover their future European opponent on Monday at 12 noon.
