The city of Fenouillet offers a free concert by Michael Jones and sports activities, such as paddle, rowing, tennis or badminton on the shores of Lake Bocage to celebrate July 14th.
An unforgettable evening is preparing. This year town of Fenouillet joins the Lespinasse town hall to organize “an unforgettable July 14th” at the Lac du Bocage. In the evening, a concert will be provided by Michael Jones, author of the famous title “I give you”. For more than forty years, the singer and guitarist has performed on stages all over the world and has toured in France, Belgium and Switzerland. Besides Goldman, the artist has collaborated with the greatest, from Johnny Hallyday to Celine Dion, via Phil Collins, Joe Cocker and Hugues Aufray.
It is to this superb career, and to all the personalities that crossed his path, that Michael Jones pays homage with his tour called “Around”. Surrounded by his musicians, the artist will present his latest songs and rediscover those that have marked his musical career.
Pop, rock and funk in the first part
Le music group HopÔpoP will provide the first part of the concert by Michael Jones. The singer and the two musicians who accompany her offer a musical experience that is out of the ordinary thanks to a repertoire composed of French, Hispanic and English-speaking songs in a style oscillating between pop, rock, funk and varieties from the 70s to the 90s. The concert will begin at 7 p.m. Food trucks, snack bars and ice cream sellers will be present to fill the small hollows.
Free sports activities in Fenouillet
Throughout the day, the town of Fenouillet offers various activities. The traditional National Day commemorations will be held from 10:30 a.m. at the foot of the War Memorial, located in front of the town hall. Then, the Lac du Bocage will open its doors at 4 p.m. The different clubs that occupy the banks all year round will then offer free sports activities for the little ones, as well as the older ones. On the program: paddle, rowing, tennis or even badminton. After the concerts, at 11:30 p.m., a fireworks display will be fired over the lake to close the festivities.
