Free agent Austin Rivers opts for Minnesota Timberwolves

The agreement between the player and his new team is estimated at 2.9 million dollars for one season, according to what his agents have informed ESPN.

Rivers thus leaves behind his time with the Denver Nuggets, a team he joined late in the 2020-2021 season and for which he played 67 games last year with averages of 6 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists.

The 29-year-old shooting guard, formerly of Duke and number 10 in the 2012 draft, will bring experience to the Timberwolves (655 games in 10 years in the NBA), as well as defensive work and depth to the team’s second unit.
