Football Zlín has a new logo! What does he look like and what do fans say about him?

Baník Ostrava ended their training with a victory when they defeated the second league team Karvina 2:1 at the stadium in Ostrava-Vítkovice, but Pavlo Vrba was missing several key players from his team. What does the coach of the Silesian team say about this and who could start the opening league match against Sigma Olomouc?

Ostravský Baník has finished preparing for the new season, which will start already this weekend, specifically on Saturday, July 30.

And what is the final balance of the Silesian team as part of their preparation? Four wins, three draws and two losses, with the last victory from Slezana on Saturday, July 23 against Karviná.

Baník was already losing from the fifth minute, when midfielder Jaroslav Málek made his mark for the second division team. Four minutes later, however, Petr Jaroň leveled the game, Daniel Tetour put Ostrava in the lead in the 16th minute.

The match ended with the same result (2:1), but the big problem is that Baník did not enter his warm-up at full strength. The list of injured players includes a number of key names that Baník will probably miss even at the start of the season.

The miner is currently suffering from extensive decay

Defenders Jan Juroška and Jaroslav Svozil are long-term injured. In preparation, however, young talent from Udinese Jan Kubala, stopper David Lischka and shooter Ladislav Almási were also injured. And to make matters worse, Baník’s defense is also weakened by Ladislav Takács and Jan Laštůvka.

However, despite the fact that Baník was missing several key supports during the general season, the home team created a decent number of scoring opportunities.

“The match had its quality not only from our side, but also from Karviná’s side. We managed the match. What he regrets is that the match ended only 2:1 for how many opportunities we created. There could have been a lot more goals from our side than just two,” said coach Vrba in an interview for the club’s website.

Jiří Letáček stood in goal against Karviná, Jakub Pokorný and Michal Frydrych formed the stopper duo together, Vrba sent Jiří Klíma and Muhamed Tijani into the attack, who, however, had a solid form in preparation. So who could start in the opening game of the season against Olomouc Sigma?

Coach Vrbo’s reaction to the injured players

“At the moment, they are not 100% fit, but for these two, it is assumed that they should be fine within a week. We didn’t take the risk so as not to rush things unnecessarily. Lašty received an injection, after which he needs time to start training normally. For him specifically, it’s a matter of hours,” stated Vrba, whose words were quoted by the Sport.cz server.

“We have three or four players out at the moment. It is more complicated for Lischka, he has a torn muscle and the treatment time is estimated to be three to four weeks. Almasi is in a situation…, I don’t even know what exactly is wrong with him. I have already heard several of those diagnoses, which were then denied. I hope it will be the mildest diagnosis and he will join us in a week.” continues.

“Against Olomouc, players who are 100% healthy and who have recently performed at their best will be playing. Write that we will play in a formation of seven two one,” typed.

The Ostrava team certainly has other alternatives to replace the injured mainstays in the first league game of the new season. Although Baník will certainly breathe better as soon as none of the key names appear on the list of injured players.
