Stefano Bizzozi is the new Technical Coordinator of the Fiorenzuola Youth Basketball Sector 1972.
Born in 1960, Bizzozi is a technical figure who needs no introduction. Born in Venice, he spent a large portion of his illustrious career at Scavolini Pesaro. From there he became assistant coach at Fortitudo Bologna, Head Coach at Reyer Venezia, head of the youth sector of Fulgor Fidenza and Basket Salso and for 2 years Coach of the youth teams of the Italian Nationals (achieving a prestigious fourth place at the Under 18 European Championships). In 2009 he was Assistant Coach of the Italian National Major, and then worked in the staff of Cimberio Varese, of which he became head coach in 2014. From 2016 to 2019 he was head of the youth sector of the HSC Rome, from 2019 in charge of the youth sector Varese Basketball and Varese Academy, with continuous and fruitful international experiences including the leadership of the Cameroon Women’s National Team.
Honorary Member of the Panathlon International Club of Mestre e President of the Sports Around the World Association, with his work he intended to promote sport as an element of culture and inclusion among people, especially towards the little ones. He did his utmost, and continues to do so, for the healthy education of young people and the ethical affirmation based on fair play, with positive examples for the emancipation of men and women.
Here are his first words in Fiorenzuola Bees jersey: “For me it is a different challenge, a different way of imagining, setting up and experiencing the youth sector. We project ourselves on the territory, on the attention to what surrounds us; it will surely be an important experience. Basketball in the youth sector will see us operate by working hard on the fundamentals, making children grow and retain them through initiatives that lead them to love our sport. Our boys were trained by good instructors; we hope to add something from a technical and physical point of view, dreaming and imagining to reach the highest possible level “.
