Donald Trump encourages players to take LIV money while there’s still time

A week away from the 3rd LIV Golf Invitational Series tournament held at his Bedminster course, former US President Donald Trump posted a message on his social media urging PGA Tour players to join the dissident Saudi-funded tour .

Certainly animated by the same spirit of revenge as Greg Norman, Donald Trump hopes to convince even more players to leave the PGA Tour.

The former President of the United States probably did not digest that the PGA of America remove it the home of the 2022 PGA Championship after the Capitol events.

“All of those golfers who remain loyal to the very treacherous PGA, in all its guises, are going to pay for it when the inevitable merger with the LIV occurs. You won’t get anything but a ‘thank you’ from PGA officials who earn millions of dollars a year.”Trump wrote on the Truth Social network on Monday.

“If you don’t take the money now, you won’t get anything after the merger and you can only see how smart the early signatories were,” continued the one who had incited his supporters to storm the building where the congress sits to contest his defeat in the elections.

9/11 Families Against Trump

His comments come as families of 9/11 victims have urged him to cancel the tournament, citing the fact that LIV Golf Invitational Series are funded by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), according to a letter sent to Trump on Sunday.

“The Saudi nation is largely responsible for the deaths of our loved ones and the horrific attack on America. And you know it”reads the letter signed by the association which represents the survivors and family members of the terrorist attacks.
