In the first confrontation, the duo of B Someth Reddy and Ashwini Punaba of B Someth, Muhammad Irfan Syed Bhatti and Ghazala Seddik won. The Indian duo finished the opening match with a score of 21-9. Without a start, the Indian players kept their focus and won a tie 21-9 and 21-12.

In the second union tie, Srikanth Kedambi had a dominant act in the second union tie of the match, outscoring his opponent 21-7, 21-12.

The Pakistani player tried to come from behind in the second half of the tie, but Srikanth kept up his momentum. In the third match of the guild, PV Sindhu mainly played against his opponent Mahor Shahzad in the women’s competition.

Impressive doubles medalist Sindhu made it seem like a one-sided affair with her 11-4 lead. Sindhu won the first move 21-7. It was quite heartbreaking because Pakistani Mahir Shahzad had no answer for the Indian mantra hoax.

Sindhu dominated the singles match as he defeated Mahir Shahzad in straight matches 21-7, 21-6 to claim victory for India in the inaugural mixed team badminton event at the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
