Davante Adams will miss Aaron Rodgers

Wide receiver Davante Adams will begin a new chapter in his NFL career this year with the Las Vegas Raiders, but a big name in the history of his former organization is far from convinced by the viability of this new marriage.

The ex-glory of the Green Bay Packers Brett Favre took good note of the departure of the star player having been traded to the Nevada team. Even if Adams will take over from a talented pivot with the Raiders, we should not expect success from him as dazzling as in Wisconsin, according to the ex-number 4. The latter believes that the principal concerned will be a little bored of Aaron Rodgers, with whom he made the rain and the good weather for several years.

“I don’t disrespect Davante, absolutely not. I think he will make Derek Carr better and over time they will be a dynamic duo. Now, will this be the combination that Aaron and Davante were exploiting? We’ll see, Favre told TMZ Sports. I think Derek Carr is a very good quarterback, but he’s not in the same league as Aaron yet. He might never be and that’s no disrespect, except that I think Davante owes the Packers and Aaron a good deal of credit for drafting him.”

“I’m not saying he’s not a great player, because he really is and we’ll see that in Las Vegas. However, it’s complicated to change strategies, especially when he had a guy as prolific as Aaron Rodgers. I will be flabbergasted if he has the same type of year as last, he added. I’m not saying he can’t, but I’d be surprised.”

Not quite a stranger…

Adams had 669 receptions and 73 touchdowns in Green Bay, which was the second-highest total in franchise history for each of those categories. He is fourth in aerial yards (8,121).

Besides, the 29-year-old receiver won’t find himself in unfamiliar territory alongside Carr, who was his quarterback for two years with Fresno State University. Together they had 3,031 yards and 31 majors on 233 catches.
