[세계타임즈=대전 이채봉 기자] Daejeon Beopdong Middle School (Principal Yoon Seok-won) announced that they had won the women’s middle school team event at the ‘2022 Korea Badminton Association Long-Term National Badminton Competition’ held for three days from the 2nd to the 4th at Seosan Citizen’s Gymnasium in Chungcheongnam-do.
The tournament, hosted by the Korea Badminton Association, was held as a team event, 3 singles, doubles, and doubles tournament with 21 female middle school teams participating.
Daejeon Beopdong Middle School, who started the first round with a bye, won three straight victories against Gangwon Namwonju Middle School, Jeonbuk Handeul Middle School, and Gyeongbuk Gimcheon Women’s Middle School to reach the final, defeating strong candidate Seoul Eonju Middle School 3:2 and winning the gold medal.
Daejeon Beopdong Middle School reached the finals of this tournament for three consecutive years from 2020 and finally reached the top after two runners-up.
