Cuba and the Dominican Republic remain undefeated in Caribbean women’s basketball.

The Cuban and Dominican Republic teams maintained their unbeaten record this Thursday in the Caribbean women’s basketball tournament, which takes place at the Ciudad Deportiva Coliseum in Havana, the capital of Cuba.

The representatives of the Greater Antilles defeated Jamaica 85 cards by 32, to achieve their second success in the same number of presentations.

Again the young Isabela Jourdain scored a double-double, adding 14 points and capturing 11 rebounds, in addition to distributing 4 assists.

Cuban captain Anisleidys Galindo was the top scorer for the winners with 15 cards, while Nahomis Vargas and Bexy Claro 10, achieved double figures in attack.

For the Jamaicans, only the small Point Guard Fatimah A scored more than 10 units when adding 12.

In the first hour, the Dominican Republic maintained its undefeated by easily disposing of the Bahamas 73-50.

Yenifer Jiménez with 11 points and Sugeiry Monsac with 10 were the best scorers for Quisqueya la Bella.

Valerie Nesbitt with 20 led the losers.

This Friday, at the end of the qualifying stage, Jamaica will play against the Bahamas and in what should be a preview of the final, Cuba and the Dominican Republic will defend their unbeaten record.
