The transfer of Oleksandr Zinchenko is taking concrete shape. As David Ornstein from the sports magazine ‘The Athletic’ reports, Manchester City is in negotiations with Arsenal FC. The Ukraine left-back is set to become the second City pro to join the Gunners this summer, following striker Gabriel Jesus.
The transfer isn’t complete yet, but things seem to be looking up for Arsenal. Under the right financial conditions, Zinchenko can leave the Skyblues two years before the end of the contract. Both clubs are now working out exactly what these parameters look like.
In the 25-year-old, Arsenal would snap up a proven pro from the English champions. For years, Zinchenko has been swinging in Pep Guardiola’s star ensemble between the starting eleven and the substitutes’ bench. In the meantime, he has an even bigger role to play in London, because with his versatility, the blond boy can be used both at left back and in midfield.
