BVB: A lot of pressure on the left

Already in the early stages it became clear that Terzic had identified the right side of the sixties’ defense as a weak point. Malen started a nice solo there, Marco Hiller in the hosts’ goal was able to distinguish himself. But it was only a little later Keeper powerless: Again it was Malen, who asserted himself strongly on the left and aimed for the short post with his right. The ball bounced first to the left post, then to the right post and finally spun over the goal line.

The second BVB goal also came from the left: Marco Reus dribbled to the baseline, pushed the ball into the middle, where Bellingham was completely free in the six-yard box waiting for the pass. Just four minutes later, Malen served Adeyemi from the right, whose shot slipped through Hiller’s gloves.

Munich still with a lot of morals

Even after the break, BVB put pressure on. Hiller defused two long-range shots from Mo Dahoud and Thomas Meunierbefore Yannick Deichmann showed one of the few Munich shots on the other side with a direct acceptance from 20 meters – even if the ball clearly missed Gregor Kobel’s goal.

At least Bayern avoided conceding more goals in the second half, pulled out of the affair respectably and let the numerous satisfied fans who stayed in the stadium celebrate for a long time after the final whistle.

Adeyemi satisfied, Köllner fair congratulatory

“We tried to play dominantly, have the ball for a long time and score goals. We did that well in the first half.”, said goal scorer Karim Adeyemi of the sports show. 1860 coach Michael Köllner congratulated BVB: “Not a lot went well for us today. Dortmund were happy to play, but in the end it was hard bread for us.”
