Cincinnati Reds make trade, wait for offers from New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers for Luis Castillo

Cincinnati Reds began selling players ahead of the trade deadline from Major League Baseball (MLB) this August 2, in this case reaching an agreement with one of the big buyers in the market, New York Mets.

The Ohio franchise has an arrangement with the Queens franchise to send outfielder Tyler Naquin and left-handed pitcher Phillip Diehlgetting two minor league players in exchange: RHP José Acuña (Single-A) and 2B Héctor Rodríguez (Rookie).

Naquin’s departure was expected, with the 31-year-old veteran hitting Free Agency later this season. But another game that is cooking is that of the rotation ace, Luis Castillowho already has several suitors.
