Sports evening tonight in Chioggia. Bagni Sirenella by the sea, proposes “Chioggia Fight Night” with boxing and MMA matches.
The early evening is at 21.00. It starts with some amateur boxing matches and then to follow the main course with the fight of the 31-year-old Enzo Tobbia, the first professional athlete of MMA in Chioggia.
The local star of this sport will be challenged by Thomas Squardito from Catania.
Tobbia tells us: “I fought in Italy and abroad, but I had never fought in my city. I’ve been trying for a few years, especially to bring younger kids closer and make them understand the discipline, respect and sacrifice behind this sport! Not just kicks and punches, but a real lifestyle ”.
Tobbia is also keen to give positive messages to young people who approach this sport, they fight in the ring and not in other contexts or to preempt the other: “I’m ready to open up with younger kids to talk to them about issues like bullying. Getting on the ring or in a cage is our choice, those who are bullied have no choices ”.
Mixed martial arts (in English mixed martial arts, in acronym MMA), are a full contact combat sport whose regulation allows the use of all sports techniques of martial arts (karate, muay thai, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, judo ) and combat sports (wrestling, grappling, boxing, kickboxing).
