CaixaBank Spanish Paralympic Committee renew Paris 2024 agreement

Under the slogan ‘The commitment continues’, CaixaBank’s corporate headquarters in Madrid hosted the presentation of the agreement, which will support the ADO Paralympic Plan (ADOP).

CaixaBank and the Spanish Paralympic Committee (CPE) have presented the new sponsorship agreement through which the financial institution will accompany the Spanish team throughout the Paralympic cycle until the 2024 Paris Games. SpecificCaixaBank will collaborate through the ADOP program with scholarships and other services aimed directly at the preparation of Spanish Paralympic athletes for the event in the French capital.

The event was chaired by Miguel Carballeda, president of the Spanish Paralympic Committee, and José Ignacio Goirigolzarri, president of CaixaBank. The event has had the presence of some athletes such as Marta Arce (judo), as host of the event; Sarai Gascón (swimming), as representative of the athletes; Loida Zabala (weightlifting); Sergio Ibanez (judo); Andrea Miguélez (triathlon) or Desirée Vila (athletics), among others.

Also, the financial entity adheres to the ‘Paralympic Promises’ project, to promote grassroots sport. Specifically, a new team has been created by the Spanish Triathlon Federation in search of young talent in this demanding discipline.

The president of CaixaBank also wanted to highlight the new program ‘Next Challenge: Paris’. “From this moment on we will continue to give a voice to non-conformists in sportaccompanying them on their way to the Paralympic event, so that all of Spanish society knows and recognizes the effort, exploits and commitment of each of the athletes who are part of the Spanish Paralympic Committee”.

On the other hand, CaixaBank renews the ‘Paralympic Card’, a means of payment contracted from September that will provide financial aid to the Spanish Paralympic Committee through the transfer of a percentage of the global billing and the annual fee of the cards. Goirigolzarri concluded his speech highlighting that “we feel represented in your effort to improve every day, to continue in the elite competing with the best”.

Carballeda added that with his motto ‘Sport Nonconformists’, CaixaBank campaigns have brought the values ​​and image of Paralympic athletes to many corners of societybecoming one of the best examples worldwide of the use of Paralympic sport as corporate communication.

Through this sponsorship agreement, CaixaBank will continue its active collaboration with the CPE, through the ADOP program, providing scholarships and preparing Spanish Paralympic athletes for the great sporting event of the 2024 Paris Games. its commitment to Paralympic sport, after having promoted different initiatives in recent years to promote and make different athletes with scholarships visible.
