ROVIGO – The two senior teams of the Baseball Softball Club Rovigo will take the field on Sunday.

Itas Mutua will be on stage in Senago, in the longest away match of the entire Serie A Poule Salvezza. It will be the first return day of Group E1, which currently sees the rossoblùs in second place behind Ronchi dei Legionari. To stay in the slipstream and continue to pursue both a quiet salvation in the top category and the qualification for the next Italian Cup, a double win over the Lombards will be needed. It is therefore a question of repeating what happened in the first leg, which saw the Itas Mutua Rovigo in both races overcome a then rather opaque Senago. Confidence is not lacking in the roster coached by coach Soto Diaz.

The recent arrival of Javier Diaz has given further consistency to a mound that has also found the best Crepaldi, practically perfect in the last victorious match against Poviglio. Almost all the players are available: the only absent will be Salgado, who finished the season prematurely due to a muscle problem. Race one is scheduled at 11, race two at 15.30. The comparison must be taken with the springs, also considering that the Senago, currently last in the group together with Brescia, is looking for points to try to get out of the relegation risk zone.

At the same time the A2 softball girls will play on the home diamond in via Vittorio Veneto against Chieti. A challenge to be faced with a single objective: to win two victories in order to feed the remaining hopes of qualifying for the playoffs. A mission that is far from simple for the Polesane women trained by coaches Pino Soto, Adriano Morabito and Cristina Pollato, currently in fourth place in Group B of Serie A2: against Chieti and in the subsequent match against Longbridge it will be necessary to make a full booty and then go to play all in the four matches scheduled in Lucca in mid-July. No particular training problems for the rossoblùs. Only Bolognini is not at his best, but he will grit his teeth to give his usual contribution. Race one will be played at 11.
