Bronny James already compared on video to LeBron and Kyrie… yeah

Being a “son of” has its advantages. The lifestyle is necessarily easier and the status opens doors. But it doesn’t have to be easy every day. Especially if you are the son of LeBron James and want to break into the same sport. Bronny Jamesthe son of the Los Angeles Lakers star, would probably like to live his own life as a basketball player at times.

But he is constantly reminded of his status as heir. Sometimes excessively and for far-fetched reasons. Latest example, this video circulating from a dunk that Bronny James placed in EYBL (Nike Elite Youth Basketball League), dunk put in parallel with one made by his daron.

The idea? Make us a little buzz under the like father like son mode for the one who has been hovering around 30th place in the various rankings of the 2023 class lately. And why not if it had been an iconic action of the King that the young prospect reproduced identically. But :

This is obviously the game of social networks. But to do it for a “simple” one-handed dunk that anyone would do? Yeah…

This isn’t the only video that compares him to LeBron James, and probably won’t be the last. There is even another one which turns at the moment to make a parallel with… Kyrie Irving. Why not, but here again we are talking about a banal action, which any basketball player has already done.

Above all, in this case, the action is not really identical. The real highlight in that of Kyrie Irving, it is the fake pass which allows to create distance before the shot. Something that Bronny James does not do here and which therefore makes the comparison obsolete.

All these videos will end up creating expectations, in the general non-specialist public, that he will probably not be able to fulfill. And that he could therefore live badly. In short, if it must be rather pleasant on a daily basis to be the son of LeBron James, it is probably not easy to develop as a basketball player.

Especially since one can wonder if his father himself does not serve him by explaining publicly that he wants to play in the same franchise as his son one day. What would be the best way to prevent him from finally making a name and a first name once he arrived in the NBA
