The Romanian tennis player won the title in Italy after beating the local player Lucia Bronzetti in two sets (6-2, 6-2) in the final of the WTA 250 in Palermo. Begu thus adds her fifth WTA title in nine finals played throughout her career.

The week closed in Palermo with the last two survivors in the draw, Begu and Bronzetti. The Romanian came from somewhat irregular matches, above all needing comebacks against both Oceane Dodin and Sara Sorribes, the latter in the semifinal. On her side, the Italian brought a fairly similar path, with two very comfortable first rounds but also with the obligation to reverse results in her following presentations, until reaching this final, the first of her short professional career. .

Finally, Irina-Camelia sealed the victory with a second 6-2, to win the title in Palermo, the fifth of her career.
