New arrival at the JDA:

Markis McDuffie signs up for one season

The JDA group, through its basketball subsidiary, today announces the arrival of a new recruit. The American Markis McDuffie officially joins the JDA Bourgogne Dijon until 2023.

Aged 24, for 2m03, this strong American winger played for Napoli Basket last season. In the Italian first division, he played 30 games and performed well (14 points on average and 4 rebounds).

Coming from the prestigious American university league NCAA, he played under the colors of Whichita State Shockers between 2015 and 2019 before discovering Europe and the Hungarian championship with the Alba Fehervar club. He then flew to Italy and the second division where he revealed himself with Piacenza (20 points on average and 6 rebounds in 30 games).

Fabien Romeyer, the sports director of the JDA, analyzes this new profile: “After a solid university course with Whichita State Shockers, a team which performs well in the United States, where he rubbed shoulders with Rashard Kelly, Markis comes out of three seasons achieved in Europe. He dominated the Italian second division, even integrating the 5 major of the championship, before joining the Serie A. He is an active player defensively, slender in attack with a wide offensive panoply. He is dangerous on the outside shot and has a faculty of percussion. Markis also offers us the possibility of shifting him by sequence to position 3 according to the meetings. »

He is the third player to join the JDA for next season after the formalizations of Jonathan Rousselle and Gregor Hrovat.
