CREMONA – “I am a Juvino who has returned to Juvi!”. Marco Abbiati is the new Sporting Director of Ferraroni Juvi Cremona for the 2022/2023 season. It is a return to origins after having discovered the passion for basketball thanks to Juvi and having reached Serie A1 and EuroCup as sporting director with Germani Brescia.
“I was 10 when I went to see Giommi’s Juvi, Gregorat, Cinciarini, Bona; that’s where my passion for basketball was born “As a player, Marco Abbiati then wore the Juvi 96 shirt from 1999 to 2003, ending his career as a player and becoming Sporting Director for the following 6 seasons.. In 2010 he was part of the management of the brief merger between Juvi-Vanoli and from the 2011-2012 season he will be the DS of Pallacanestro Brescia which centers the promotion to A1 in 2016 and the first participation in the Eurocup in 2018.
“I am happy, galvanized by this return. Juvi made a very fast upward path and this shows the will to continue growing. This year we will have to consolidate ourselves in the new championship ”is the comment of Marco Abbiati. “I know well Alessandro Crotti for some time, we crossed paths both when we were playing against each other and when he was a coach and I was a manager.
