ATP – Newport, Wimbledon > Auger-Aliassime: “Before the Djokovic-Kyrgios final, we were discussing with Murray what was probably going to happen, my prediction came true and Andy thought that Novak would win in three sets”

From Newport, Andy Murray and Felix Auger‐Aliassime trained together ahead of the Wimbledon final between Novak Djokovic and Nick Kyrgios. In an interview given to Tennis.comthe Canadian told an anecdote on this subject in addition to returning to the disappointment of his elimination in the 1is turn against Maxime Cressy on the London lawn.

“Before the final, we trained together, we discussed what was probably going to happen, it’s always great to talk with someone who knows tennis as well as he does. Eventually my prediction came true, Novak had to win in four sets, Andy thought he would win in three sets, even though we both knew it would be a tough match. We saw that it was not an easy game, even for the winner. Once again Djokovic has come out on top and shown what a champion he is, which is remarkable and inspiring.. »
