BOLASPORT.COM – Manchester City did not let Arsenal hold on to the status of the Premier League’s most wasteful club in the transfer market this summer.

Until Monday (4/7/2022) night WIB, Manchester City occupied the top seat on the list of clubs that spent the most money in the transfer market.

The Premier League champions have spent 97.87 million pounds or the equivalent of 1.78 trillion rupiah to buy new players.

According to BolaSport.com reference data from Transfermarkt, the amount was allocated to Erling Haaland (54 million pounds) and Kalvin Phillips (43.87), while Stefan Ortega was transported free of charge.

The purchase of Phillips is what makes Manchester City the most wasteful club for the time being.

They shifted the rankings of Arsenal, who had topped the list of the most generous teams in the transfer market for more than an hour.
