Adventure passport: the passport for a successful summer in Mulhouse

Since July 11, more than 400 children have taken advantage every day of the many sporting, cultural and fun activities offered as part of the Adventure Pass scheme. Nearly 160 supervisors are mobilized to offer great activities and outings to young people in Mulhouse and the agglomeration…

” Hit ? Take a paper, you go back! This Friday morning, it’s a giant naval battle for the 122 children, aged 7 to 17, welcomed to the Nautical Stadium as part of the Adventure Passport scheme. As the children run around the vast green space that serves as the setting for the naval battle, Arnaud, one of the facilitators, explains: “If children usually practice their activities in small groups, every Friday morning we play a big game to bring together all the children welcomed here, big and small, girls and boys… The naval battle, it always works very well, they are all fully and very active! » Léo, a young 11-year-old from Mulhouse, confirms: « The naval battle, it’s brilliant! »

Five different sites

The Nautical Stadium is one of five sites welcoming young children from Mulhouse and the conurbation, as part of the Passeport Adventures summer program (formerly Planètes Aventure), from July 11 to August 19. Here, water games and sport are in the spotlight, around the Aqua’glisse theme, while at the Waldeck sports complex, it is the discovery of nature that is put forward. The Jonquilles swimming pool welcomes children around the theme of exploration, with in particular a mysterious hidden village of Ninjas… In addition to these three sites where young people aged 7 to 17 can choose their daily activities, among the broad program offered, two other places welcome the youngest: the Wallach center for 3-5 year olds and the Illberg school for 6-11 year olds.

At the Illberg school, the children had the choice, this Friday morning, between dance workshops, board games like the essential Croque Carotte, but also mini archery, initiation to origami or cooking workshops, to learn how to eat a balanced diet. With the help of a dietician and the activity leaders present, a dozen children are busy preparing the mixed salad on the lunch menu. Not far from there, at the university gymnasium, a strange structure has been set up for a few days and hosts an uninterrupted parade of curious little ones…

Different activities and outings, every day

Romain Altmann’s mobile planetarium, via his company Astro et sac à dos, makes a stopover in Mulhouse, to introduce children to the mysteries of the celestial vault. “I project images of the night sky that we find at the moment, but also videos and images taken by the Hubble telescope to explain the phenomena taking place in space. A moment that is both fun and educational, as the Passeport adventures team knows how to offer, which brings together around 160 people and mobilizes many external contributors, from sports clubs and local structures. Some are regulars, like Arnaud, who has overseen activities at the Stade Nautique for eight years. “I still like it so much! The children have a lot of fun and in eight years, I have seen many grow up, which I see again from one year to the next. We also meet great people, with the other animators, it’s very nice! “For his colleague Tsorya, animator since 2019, “the atmosphere is very good, the activities and the children change every day, even if we also have regulars! »

And it’s neither the rain nor the heat that will spoil the party since everything is planned, with indoor activities if necessary, but also water games and shaded areas as well as a strong attention paid to the good hydration of all. Registered for the week or the day, the children themselves choose the activities they want to practice, but also the outings they want to take part in, in places as diverse as the Mulhouse museums, the Reiningue lake or again the Huningue Whitewater Park. “Every day, we change, explain Wilhelm, 13 years old from Ottmarsheim, and Anthony, 14 years old from Riedisheim. There, we have already done kayaking, climbing, archery, swimming, diving and even hydrospeed! That’s great !”
