A successful baseball open day for the blind in Fossano – Targatocn.it

The baseball open day dedicated to blind and / or visually impaired children was a success, held this morning on the “Dario Bono” diamond in Fossano.

Many participants, as well as some U12 boys from BC Fossano who tried their hand, who took part in the sponsored initiative of the Italian Baseball Softball Federation and the Italian Baseball Association for the Blind, which made use of the collaboration of the FIBS Piemonte Regional Committee, the Fossano Baseball Club and the promotion of the ASL CN1, the service of the Visual Rehabilitation Center and the active involvement of the typhlologist Marco Rosso.

It all started with the input of the Real Eyes Sport Association, founded and chaired by the Paralympic champion Daniele Cassioli present in the area with the “Space to gesture” motor activity project, which joined forces with the ASD Baseball Club Fossano to promote discipline among young people.

The open day was directed by the manager and member of the technical staff of the National Team, Adriano Chiesa, supported by multi-titled technicians, also Graglia Franco the vice president of the Piedmont Region council, Donatella Rattalino and Simona Giaccardi respectively councilor attended the initiative to sport and president of the municipal council of the City of Fossano.
