A few more weeks of patience for athletes, amateurs or confirmed.

Work on the sports complex requalification project Claude-Fichotat Conflans-Sainte-Honorine (Yvelines)began in May.

2.3 million euros

The main operation concerns the construction of a synthetic turf pitch which will replace the current, degraded one. It is located below the college of Bois-d’Aulne.

As a reminder, a meeting to present the file took place at the beginning of October, during which the municipality recalled that the site should be “the most frequented by several disciplines: football, rugby, gymnastics, rollerblading, tennis, archery, athletics or pétanque”.

The delivery of this new equipment is scheduled for September.

“The old land was little used, including by associations. It will undergo several interventions, in anticipation of the laying of a synthetic turf. »

At the same time, the site also plans to create a playground and a landscaped car park with around eighty spaces, in place of the former Grandes-Terres leisure centre, which is slated for destruction.

“An additional investigation of the networks (water, gas, electricity) was carried out to prepare for the demolition, indicates the municipality. The tennis courts remain open to the public, and access to the sports facilities for the school group and the (new) Grandes-Terres leisure center will be maintained throughout the duration of the work (whose completion should take place at the end of 2022, Editor’s note) ».

New equipment

Other new features will be added to these brand new facilities: the construction of a forecourt at the level of the school and the new leisure center, and the construction of a pedestrian path linking rue de la Justice and that of Bois-d’Aulne.

“Most of the trees present will be maintained. Vegetated valleys will ensure the management of rainwater and a plant path will see the light of day,” specifies the City.

The total cost of the project is 2.3 million euros, of which 550,000 euros will be financed by the Île-de-France Region.
