29-year-old Moroccan attacked by a “commando” armed with bars – Chronicle

They waited for his Opel Astra to stop in via Fosse Ardeatine, not far from the church of San Pio, then holding some bars or perhaps baseball bats, they shattered the windows and beat up the driver. It happened yesterday morning just before 10.30. This is the most serious of a series of episodes that have involved North African citizens for some time. In this case the thugs, three or four, took it out on a 29-year-old Moroccan.

The beating took place in a semi-central area of the town of Lomellina and the attackers acted regardless of the possible presence of passers-by. Someone gave the alarm but when the carabinieri from the Mortara station and the local police officers of the “commando” arrived on the spot there was no longer any trace. Instead, there was the victim, who appears to have no stab wounds, but whose condition was serious. The man was transported to the hospital by a yellow-coded Red Cross ambulance. His clinical picture would be serious, but the man is not in danger of life. Meanwhile, the carabinieri who have acquired the images of the video surveillance cameras in the area are working to trace the identity of the attackers and the reasons that led them to the violent beating.
