Baseball, Blue Jays in history: 28-5 to the Red Sox. Only 5 previous in 122 years
Franchise record and a historic top 5 of the Mlb. A special night for the Toronto Blue Jays who overwhelmed the Boston Red Sox 28-5, scoring 25 points in the first 5 innings and surpassing the franchise record (24) that had stood since 1978. A sublime performance for the Blue Jays, complete with ‘Inside the park grand slam’ , that is a grand slam (each occupant of the base scores, 4 points) without a home run, produced by Raimel Tapia as well as a gross error by Jarren Duran. Horror numbers for the Red Sox: to look for a worse defeat, you have to go back to 1923 when Boston was crashed 27-3 by the Indians (now Cleveland Guardians). There are only five other precedents in MLB history of games with 28 or more points. Let’s see which ones.
