BOLASPORT.COM – The Group F Qualification Party for the U-20 2023 Asian Cup has confirmed the venue for the match.
As is known, in the upcoming 2023 U-20 Asian Cup Qualification there will be the U-19 national teams of Indonesia, Vietnam, Hong Kong and Timor Leste.
PSSI Chairman Mochamad Iriawan said all Group F matches would be held in East Java in September 2022.
PSSI appointed Sidoarjo as the venue for the upcoming 2023 U-20 Asian Cup Qualification match.
“One of the venues for the match could be at the Gelora Delta Sidoarjo Stadium,” said Iriawan in Jakarta, Tuesday (19/7/2022) as reported by Antaranews.com.
Iriawan revealed that the reason for choosing the Gelora Delta Sidoarjo Stadium was because the Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium (GBT), Surabaya, was being prepared for the 2023 U-20 World Cup.
As is known, Indonesia will host the 2023 U-20 World Cup.
Furthermore, Iriawan explained that the reason for choosing East Java was to give the province an opportunity to organize an international soccer tournament.
Previously, Bandung had held a FIFA Match Day against Bangladesh in June 2022.
