YOGYAKARTA – The Indonesian U-16 National Team (Timnas) is rumored to be implementing a high pressing game in the 2022 AFF U-16 Cup tournament. According to the coach, Bima Sakti, playing continuously pressing opponents will benefit the U-16 Indonesian National Team and their chances of winning will be even bigger.
As is known, the U-16 Indonesian national team is in Group A along with Vietnam, Singapore and the Philippines in the 2022 AFF U-16 Cup. The event will start rolling on July 31, 2022 in Bantul and Sleman, Yogyakarta.
Bima Sakti said his team wanted to maximize every point in the match they were playing. Because of that, the best performances from the Indonesian U-16 national team players are really needed.
Acting as the host of the 2022 AFF U-16 Cup, Bima Sakti sees the Indonesian U-16 national team clearly benefiting. With the pressure felt by the opposing team, the high pressing game will be the right strategy.
“We play at home as the host. We will play (high) pressing to make the most of each match,” said Bima Sakti as reported by the PSSI TV YouTube channel, Friday (22/7/2022).
Bima Sakti also asked the Indonesian U-16 national team players to show their best game with high fighting power. The reason, whoever the opponent must be faced seriously.
