An occasion of sport but also of welcome, for the World Rowing Championships which are held in Varese these days: among the 1451 athletes who arrived in Varese from 61 nations, in fact, 20 Ukrainians are guests of the University of Insubria, at the Collegio Cattaneo.
The rowers arrived in the city on 22 July and have already participated in the first training sessions at the Schiranna rowing center, set up by Varese Rowing on Lake Varese.
I Under 23 World Cup kicked off today, Monday 25 July, while i Under 19 World Cup will start on Wednesday 27.
At the Collegio Cattaneo, in the heart of the Varese university campus, they are therefore hosted 17 men and 3 women: Roman Biedarov (25.06.2003), Yevhenii Chumak (18.07.2001), Denis Diachenko (10.01.2002), Mykhailo Drobot (03.04.2002), Dmytro Ivantsov (04.05.2003), Yan Kamanov (27.09.2002), Yaroslav Kondratiuk (15.05.2001), Vladyslav Loman (07.11.2002), Makssymilian Malysh (15.06.2002), Oleksandr Melashenko (08.02.2002), Yaroslav Parubok (12.05.2003), Artem Podkorytov (08.05.2004), Maksym Semenov ( 21.10.2002), Nikita Shevchuk (26.10.2001), Ruslan Voloshyn (13.06.2003), Vladyslav Yakhniienko (18.12.2001), Stefashyn Viacheslav (12/10/1975); e tre donne: Yelyzaveta Semenova (06/10/2002), Natalia Openchuk (06/02/1966), Olena Halysh (01/10/1979).
