The New York Yankees had Monday’s best baseball record at 39-15, overtaking the Los Angeles Dodgers to earn the top spot in this week’s MLB Power rankings.
The Yankees won six straight home wins against the Los Angeles Angels and Detroit Tigers last week and now travel to Minnesota to play a three-game set with the Twins.
WORLD SERIES HANGOVER: Braves struggle to stay afloat

“The more we dominate here, the more the city is going to buzz and the fanbase is going to buzz,” said first baseman Anthony Rizzo. “The lights shine brighter when the fans are inside. On the other hand, it’s definitely intimidating.”
