For the first time since 2019, tennis fans can wait in line for Wimbledon tickets. But things are different without Roger Federer. A look in the queue.
Brent is a star for a day this Sunday. “This is his third television interview now,” says Steward Joe and smiles. The 26-year-old tennis fan from Irvine, California, sits in a camp chair outside his tent and chats with former top player Pam Shriver, who plays ESPN’s dashing reporter. “May I take a look inside your tent?” she asks. Brent nods. Then she lies down on his giant inflatable mat. “If ESPN kicks me out and I lose my Wimbledon membership, I’ll sleep here, too,” Shriver jokes.
