“She can’t run anymore because she played a three-hour match yesterday. Sorry, but I was on the pitch for 6:33 hours one day and played singles the next day,” the Hamburg native criticized her colleague. “If you’re broken after a three-hour match the day before, then you can’t play professionally. That’s my opinion,” Korpatsch complained.

What makes things worse: “Before the tournament, she asked me if we wanted to play doubles, I said yes. I didn’t ask her, she asked me! I didn’t deserve that,” said number 110 of the individual rankings.
She is currently “very sad and disappointed” that nothing will happen with the first double appearance in a Grand Slam competition.
In singles, however, the 27-year-old was the end of the line after round one.
Korpatsch lost to Briton Heather Watson 7: 6 (9: 7), 5: 7, 2: 6. Since she is not at the start in the mixed competition, Korpatsch has to leave now – with a good portion of displeasure in her luggage.
