Who are the VIPs participating in the Mille Miglia 2022

The goals of the photographers and the smartphones of the public will all be for them. Like any self-respecting edition, also this year the Mille Miglia will have its famous faces who, out of passion, curiosity or pure entertainment, will try their hand at the enterprise of crossing half of Italy aboard vintage cars. And it will certainly be fun for the spectators crowded along the barriers to try to recognize them and maybe be able to photograph them during all four days of competition.

Among those announced it stands out Sonny Colbrelli: accustomed to the bicycle, this time he will get into the car: a historic car that will lead the parade. Our very own champion he will reach Rome in the company of the actor and director Giorgio Pasotti. After the turning point in the capital in the same car we will find Rudy Zerbimusic critic and tv presenter.

To the catwalks Anna Kanakis she is used to it, but the Freccia Rossa parade is a completely different emotion. The Messina actress, writer, former model and former Miss Italy 1977, will participate in the race most beautiful in the world with the number 215 on board a 1952 Jaguar XK120 Ots Roadster, driven by her husband Marco Merati Foscarini. For Kanakis and her wife it is a return to the race after the 2016 edition.

He is certainly more accustomed to car racing former Formula 1 driver Arturo Merzario, even if this is not one of the track speed races that made it famous in the seventies. Already present in 2019, this year Merzario will drive a 1957 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider, number 427 on the body, and at his side as a navigator he will have Giovanni Giulio Li Calzi.

Also from the world of Formula 1 comes another VIP, Giancarlo Fisichellawhich after the experience with the vintage cars of the Freccia Rossa in 2018, this year will take part in the Mille Miglia Green: will be aboard a Tesla Model 3, one of the reference models for e-mobility, together with Matteo Ferraglio.

Nourished is also the group of captains of industry: among these, Paolo Merloni, executive president of Ariston, returns in a 1937 BMW 328. Then there will be Alberto Bombassei, founder of Brembo, aboard a 1955 Austin Healey 100 Le Mans and Giuseppe Santoni, from the luxury shoe brand of the same name, competing in a 1954 Jaguar XK140 OTS Roadster.

Mille Miglia Charity 2022: the Lamborghini in pink protagonist of the initiative

For the 1000 Miglia Charity 2022, alongside the classic car race par excellence, the special pink car of the Ieo-Monzino Foundation. An all-female team will lead one Lamborghini Huracan EVOfor the occasion completely repainted in pink.

Five special pink drivers who during the race, with their exuberance and their warmth, will invite to donations with awareness-raising appeals in support of the Ieo-Monzino Foundation, to support cancer research and in particular the Women’s Cancer Centerthe multidisciplinary and multifunctional center for women of the IEO: sono Victoria Cabello, Paola Barale, Arisa, Warly Tomei (board member of the Ieo-Monzino Foundation, creator of the initiative) and Dr. Viviana Galimberti, Director of Breast Surgery of the IEO, a great fan of cars and fast driving. Alongside Victoria Cabello during her stage will be her friend Paride Vitale, and for a day the legendary team that triumphed in the last edition of the Beijing Express will reform.
