The phenomenon comes out of a physically trying season. Hampered by numerous injuries this year, he hasn’t been able to show himself as much as he would have hoped. His varying role in a relatively volatile exercise didn’t help him either. Despite everything, Wembanyama managed to show beautiful flashes of his great potential at the end of the season.
This year, the French interior posted averages of 9.4 points at 47% shooting and 5.1 rebounds in 18 minutes in Betclic Elite. These figures have logically regressed at the top level, had EuroLeague, with 6.5 points at 37% shooting and 3.8 rebounds in 17 minutes per game.
Victor Wembanyama has until June 26 to activate his exit clause if he wants to leave Lyon-Villeurbanne. It would be a blow for the club. Tony Parkerwho has put everything in place to support him until his draft.
If he were to free himself, several teams have apparently positioned themselves on the file. Foreign clubs, in particular, would be closely interested in the evolution of the situation. Among the candidates, Paris Basketball is one of the favorites.
