USA beat Morocco, Belgium’s opponents in Qatar, 3-0

Leeds midfielder Brenden Aaronson opened the scoring in the 26th minute by pushing the ball into the empty net after excellent work from Christian Pulisic. The Chelsea striker took the opportunity to become the fastest American player to accumulate 20 goals and 10 assists, in 49 matches.

Timothy Weah, who plays for Lille, doubled the score six minutes later with a powerful shot from wide outside the box. In the second half, Antalyaspor player Haji Wright scored the third American goal from the penalty spot (64th).

Moroccan Standard player Selim Amallah, who entered the game in the 65th minute, missed the conversion of a penalty in the 76th minute. Morocco will play in Group F at the World Cup, where it will face Belgium on November 27, after Croatia on November 23 and before Canada on December 1.
