The transfer rumors about soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo don’t stop. An Italian media report has now brought up a possible move by the 37-year-old Portuguese to AS Roma.

The hypothesis is in the room, but is almost impossible, the sports newspaper “Gazzetta dello Sport” already restricted online on Sunday. One of the reasons for the assumption seemed to be that Ronaldo’s advisor Jorge Mendes is also the manager of Rome coach José Mourinho. However, the “Gazzetta” pointed out that a transfer of the expensive Ronaldo back to Serie A – previously he played for Juventus – would be financially difficult for the club. “That’s why this marriage remains a dream or something more. But what could be nicer than a summer dream?”

With a departure from Manchester United in the English Premier League and a return to Serie A, Ronaldo might follow something of a trend. According to reports, Belgian Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea also wants to return to his old employer Inter Milan and Frenchman Paul Pogba from Manchester United wants to return to Juventus.

Lots of speculation

There is further speculation about Ronaldo, for example a change from the Red Devils to Chelsea. The new boss of the Blues, Todd Boehly, is said to have spoken to Ronaldo advisor Mendes when looking for reinforcements, according to a media report.

Bundesliga record champions FC Bayern Munich have also been mentioned. Sports director Hasan Salihamidzic had said on the Sky broadcaster: “The rumor that is circulating is, however, a rumor that has nothing to do with it.”

Rumors of change about CR7 have always caused a stir in the past. However, the transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano stated in a tweet on Sunday night that there were currently no talks with Manchester to sell the player.
